Beorn is a minor supporting character in The Hobbit film trilogy. Beorn housed and later helped aid Thorin Oakenshield, Bilbo Baggins and their friends to get to the Lonely Mountain by providing them housing and horses to ride. He later helped in the Battle of Five Armies and defeated the five armies, but not before going to Thorin's funeral to honor the fallen dwarf and his nephews. portrayed by Mikael Persbrandt.

Background[]
Beorn was born and raised in the Mountains before the Dwarves and the Orcs of Moria. However, when he was young, Beorn's home was invaded by Azog the Defiller, who kept Skin-changers for sport. Beorn was able to escape.
