This article focuses on Gloin, son of Groin and a member of the company of Thorin Oakenshield.

Glóin is one of the main characters in The Hobbit film series and a minor character in the Lord of the Rings film series. He was portrayed by John Rhys Davies with his younger self portrayed solely by Peter Hambleton.

Glóin is father to Gimli and younger brother of Óin, son of Gróin, the nephew of Fundin, and the grandfather of Balin and Dwalin.
